The Original Barbecue

Barbecue was first created as a way of cooking in the Caribbean. Originally called 'Barbacoa' this traditional method was adopted by mainland America, especially in the Southern states where barbecue became a way of life.

Here at Barbacoa Caribbean Barbecue we blend the flavours of the Caribbean with the smoking methods of America's Deep South, creating food that will fill your belly and warm your soul. Each of our smoked meats can be paired with our authentic Southern sides including Mac n Cheese, Red Cabbage Slaw and Rosemary Fries.

From our trailer Barbacoa serves a selection of smoked meats including chicken, lamb ribs and wings. Order from our custom smoked menu and taste our turkey, brisket and more. All our meat is halal and purchased from British farmers. We only use the finest and freshest ingredients to create our dishes.

Takes Time

Each one of our dishes are prepared daily by our passionate Founder and Head Chef Daniel Roberts. Our meat is purchased in the heart of London from Smithfield Market, where we quality check then season our chicken, ribs and wings in a pimento based Kansas dry rub and leave to marinate for 24 hours.

Before our customers arrive, meat is smoked for three to six hours the low and slow way, where it takes on the flavours of English Oak and Apple wood in our Southern Pride smoker.  We aim to create a long lasting taste with our fall-off-the-bone barbecue meat, that will have you coming back for more.
